Kazi Krishnokoli Islam aka Krishnokoli is not new to the creative sphere. Born and raised in Khulna, she was introduced to the world of music by her mother, Meherun Nesa. Krishnokoli trained under Shadhon Ghosh (Tagore songs) and Basudeb Biswas (classical music). She enrolled in Chhayanat in 1998 and was a student in the Rabindra Sangeet Department for three years. Currently, the artiste works in the audio-visual media. She is working on a script for a TV play and writing, composing two songs for a film. original source

সূর্যে বাঁধি বাসা!!
কৃষ্ণকলি ইসলামের একমাত্র এ্যালবাম “সূর্যে বাঁধি বাসা” গত বছরের পহেলা বৈশাখে (১৪১৪) বের হয়েছিল, কিভাবে যেন অনেকদিন এটার খোঁজ পাইনি, এই সেদিন পহেলা বৈশাখেই (১৪১৫) ইউটিউবে ‘বন্ধু তোমার’ গানটা শুনেই মনে হল কিভাবে সম্ভব এই গানটা আগে দেখি নাই। তারপর একটু খুঁজে পেতেই কৃষ্ণকলির বায়োগ্রাফী’টা পড়লাম, কি চমৎকার ভাবেই না তার নিজের জীবনের সাথে মিলিয়ে গানগুলো লিখেছেন, গেয়েছেন তিনি- সুর করেছেন অর্ণব। সূর্যে বাঁধি বাসা এ্যালবামের নামকরনের কথাটা না বললেই না- ছোটবেলায় যখন কৃষ্ণকলি তার মায়ের কাছে জানতে চেয়েছিল “মানুষ মরে গেলে কোথায় যায়??” – কৃষ্ণকলির মা বলেছিল মানুষ মরে গেলে আকাশের তারা হয়ে যায়- তখন কৃষ্ণকলি জানতে চায় তার মা মরে গেলে কি হবে- উত্তরে মা বলেছিল- “সূর্য হবেন তিনি” – এ্যালবাম’টা বের হবার কয়েক মাস আগেই কৃষ্ণকলির মা মারা যান – কৃষ্ণকলি তার মা মেহেরুন নেসাকে উৎসর্গ করেছেন ‘সূর্যে বাঁধি বাসা’ এ্যালবামটি আর এ এ্যালবামের প্রচ্ছদ করেছে তার ছয় বছরের মেয়ে অমৃতাঞ্জলি শ্রেষ্ঠশ্বরী। original source
